Carol Schweiger, President of Schweiger Consulting, has over 46 years of experience, and is nationally and internationally recognized in transportation technology consulting. Her expertise is in several areas including systems engineering, technology strategies for public agencies, public transit and paratransit technology, traveler information strategies and systems, and equity as it relates to ITS. Ms. Schweiger has provided over 80 transportation agencies with a wide variety of technology technical assistance. Carol serves as a volunteer on several relevant industry and local transportation and ITS committees. She was awarded 2022 Woman of the Year by WTS Rhode Island in the US.

Auckland Council
Andy is the Councillor for the Franklin ward on Auckland Council and chairs the Transport & Infrastructure Delivery Committee as well as the Rural Advisory Panel. In his second term as Councillor, Andy spent 12 years on the Franklin Local Board, most of that time as Chair. Prior to being involved in politics, he was a front line police officer in south Auckland, dairy farmer, restaurateur and involved in emergency management and road safety. So he brings a fair bit of experience to his current role. In his spare time he has been involved in rugby governance and was formerly the ground announcer for the Chiefs super rugby games, Super Smash cricket and is in his 16th year for Counties Manukau rugby. He lives in Drury with his wife in the bush above all the development.
MATT ENSOR
The impact of Generative AI on Transport
Matt Ensor is Director of Kia Ora AI. He spent over 28 years at Beca as Transport Advisory Business Director, and is dedicated to improving transport equity using advanced technologies. He is a Generative AI trainer for Boards and Teams and his qualifications include CMInstD and MEngNZ.
Matt actively engages in global AI discussions, staying at the forefront of advancements in Generative AI. Matt chairs the AI Forum of New Zealand's working group on generative AI for the Institute of Directors and collaborates with boards and executive teams to explore AI’s role in governance and decision-making. His mission is to accelerate the practical adoption of Generative AI in NZ organisations.

GREG POLLOCK
Leading through a crisis or two
Greg Pollock is a Partner at Agite, where he leads the transport and infrastructure practice. He advises public and private sector clients on complex urban development and public transport programmes. Greg has held recent CEO and C‑suite roles in large public transport organisations, including at Metlink in Wellington, and with operator Transdev in New Zealand. He is an independent director of Tranzit Group, New Zealand's largest locally owned bus company. Greg brings practical experience of operating, governing, and reforming services under pressure. His work focuses on governance, leadership, and maintaining public trust through uncertainty.
MICHAEL ROTH
Auckland Council's progress on time of Use Charging
Michael is Auckland Council's Lead Transport Advisor, working on Time Of Use Congestion Charging, emissions reductions, parking, safety, freight and plans to improve transport system efficiency and productivity.
Michael has 30 years transport policy experience across Australia and New Zealand. He has worked across the rail industry and the Queensland Government Transport Department. Michael was Head of Public Policy for the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland and a consultant prior to moving to Auckland in July 2021. In 2022, Michael completed the Autoskills Australia Churchill Fellowship on Light Electric Vehicle progress across USA and Europe.

Chief Economist, Simplicity
Shamubeel Eaqub is Chief Economist at Simplicity and is an author, media commentator and thought-leading public speaker. With 25 years of experience as an economist across Wellington, Melbourne and Auckland, he has worked in leading financial institutions and consultancies including ANZ Bank, Goldman Sachs JBWere, NZIER, Sense Partners and Simplicity.
Shamubeel graduated with Honours in Economics from Lincoln University and is a CFA Charterholder. He balances a portfolio of economics, consulting, public speaking, governance and family duties.
He is the author of Growing Apart: Regional Prosperity in NZ (2014), co-author of The NZ Economy: An Introduction (2011) with Dr Ralph Lattimore and Generation Rent (2015) with Selena Eaqub, and contributing author of Urban Aotearoa (2024) with Selena Eaqub. He lives in Auckland with his wife and two sons.
