Brad Hartwig is the Global Skills Leader for Intelligent Mobility Systems with Arup, based in their Melbourne office. He has over 30 years’ experience across advisory, design, implementation, operations and asset management of intelligent transport and critical infrastructure systems.

Brad’s recent road project experience includes serving as the Independent Reviewer of operational systems for Victoria’s North East Link primary tunnel package. He has also supported significant Bus Rapid Transit and bus electrification programmes internationally. He was Project Manager and ITS Lead on New York’s Lower Hudson Transit Link - a multi-modal BRT and integrated corridor management programme - and Systems Integration Lead on Brisbane Metro. He has also supported a number of Asian Development Bank bus electrification projects in the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Indonesia and Thailand, and World Bank bus projects in Fiji and Kiribati. In New Zealand, Brad has recently supported Arup’s work on Auckland’s Time of Use Charging business case and NZTA’s Transport Operations Centre Future State Investment Case.
