
Submission Review Process
All submissions will be reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee and subject matter experts drawn from across the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.
Similar to established ITS World Congress and major transport conference processes, submissions will be independently assessed by expert reviewers according to the relevant submission category. The Forum reserves the right to recommend an alternative presentation format where considered appropriate by the reviewers and Programme Committee.
Special Interest Session Review Criteria
Special Interest Session proposals will be assessed against:
- Relevance and timeliness of the proposed topic.
- Significance to the ITS community and Forum objectives.
- Technical merit and thought leadership.
- Diversity of perspectives represented.
- Balance between industry, government, and academic participation.
- Regional relevance across Asia-Pacific markets.
- Potential for audience engagement and discussion.
- Quality and clarity of the session proposal.
Preference will be given to proposals that encourage knowledge exchange, stimulate discussion, and showcase emerging transport opportunities and challenges.
Scientific Paper Review Criteria
Scientific Papers will be assessed against:
- Originality and innovation of the research.
- Technical and scientific rigour.
- Contribution to ITS knowledge and understanding.
- Relevance to Intelligent Transport Systems and Forum themes.
- Quality of methodology, analysis, and interpretation.
- Practical implications and potential impact.
- Clarity of writing, organisation, and presentation.
- Compliance with the paper format and submission requirements.
Reviewers will consider the significance of the research contribution, the quality of evidence presented, and its relevance to future transport and mobility challenges.
Technical Paper Review Criteria
Technical Papers will be assessed against:
- Degree of technical innovation.
- Relevance to ITS practitioners and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated application in a real-world environment.
- Evidence of benefits, outcomes, and lessons learned.
- Transferability and scalability of the approach.
